VA Concealed-Carry Permits

New requirements, more applications for Virginia Right-to-Carry. Dave Adams, president of the Virginia Shooting Sports Association (VSSA) joins Cam Edwards by phone to discuss a recent editorial by Dan Casey that both criticizes concealed-carry licensing requirements and notes the 50 percent increase in permits in the state since January 2007. Adams says the column makes a big deal out of the fact that Casey was able to fulfill his course requirement online after Sen. Ken Cuccinelli passed a bill changing the regulations, though Adams explains that physically handling a firearm was not part of the in-class courses that permit holders took prior to Cuccinelli's legislation.
