On Thursday, March 13, the New Jersey Assembly's Law and Public Safety Committee will hold a public hearing on A 2006. The bill would reduce the maximum magazine capacity from 15 to 10. The legislation covers both detachable and fixed magazines, making it a de facto ban on .22 caliber rifles. Scott Bach, executive director of the Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs discusses the political motivations behind the legislation, and the need for gun owners to urge their legislators to oppose the legislation.
