The gun control group Everytown for Gun Safety, funded by Michael Bloomberg, has created a map that purports to show that there have been 74 “shootings at schools” since the tragic murders in Newtown, Connecticut. Investigative journalist Charles Johnson has examined the 74 incidents in detail, and found that some incidents did not take place on campuses, fewer than 7 were mass shootings, one was a case of self-defense, and one probably did not happen. Johnson began his investigation after doing a simple calculation of frequency of events. Originally aired on NRA News Cam & Co 6/11/14.
